Today, we started late. Due to our 8 kms we walked yesterday – there were feet that were tired and needed rest. So after breakfast we went back to bed until about 10:30. We then went for a walk looking for a hairdresser. We found one and her name was Betty and she has been cutting hair for 32 years. She loves her job, you can see it in the sway of her hips and her genuine smile. She is Russian and has lived in Brooklyn and Colorado. She loves New York. She was sure of her ability and she talked to me about how she was cutting. Fabulous woman. The cut makes me feel like I look good and it is a fantastic cut.
The weather in New York is humid and it has been cool with good cloud cover to avoid burning. I have coloured a little ,but not so anyone else would notice.
Enough about me. We took off in the afternoon to Times Square by foot. Once there, we went into the Bubba Gump’s store.
Bought a T-shirt and then went upstairs for dinner.
We had New Orleans Shrimp and a Caesar Salad. We had a very fun server and he is very talented exhibit A: Click on this link to see just how clever he is. Tiandre McGee
After dinner we walked around Times Square and took pictures of Radio City Music Hall. After that up to 44th St to the Rockerfella Plaza twith the intension of going to the 67th Floor – the Top of the Rock. The view is fantastic and I have included a few pics here.
Happy Happy Birthday Rob!
Great travelling vicariously with you both. Love the photos.
